Calling for rethink about Natural Disaster storm assistance rejection Published on 10 April 2024 A storm that occurred early this year causing $1.3 million in damages has been deemed not eligible for Natural Disaster assistance. Council has written to the NSW Reconstruction Authority asking that the rejection of the application for assistance be reversed. Latest algal report from Water NSW Published on 05 April 2024 While the satellite imagery still indicates a high risk of algae for Menindee Lakes and the lower Darling River, it suggests that algae activity has decreased compared to the previous images from March.
